Notes & Combos
I didn't like how clunky fiendsmith felt in this event and decided to try out yubel control.
And since I'm lazy, I went with a list without fuwa or imperms so I didn't have to side them out of my deck when playing 2nd & starting with a monster.
Even though this deck has a lot of going second cards, I wouldn't recommend it. Being able to put up a small board and get some yubels into rotation and your bricks out of the deck on turn 1 help your future turns out a lot. Usually my first board would end on soul of rage & yubel, nightmare pain & eternal favorite & chamber, plus lotus in GY to tribute off so you can keep yubel on field. You can sometimes squeeze out a varudras as well depending on your starting hand.
If you're looking to pick up the deck, changes I'd consider are
- Raigeki - I have yet to draw this card lol, but it kind of goes against the win con of the deck as we need some target on the opponents board to crash into
- Mature chronicle - This card never got me to super poly. It's too slow and most of the time you'd prefer to set eternal favorite over it. You could cut this or play a 2nd eternal favorite as it usually will get destroyed by your opponent
- All the rank 6 XYZ slots in the extra are flexible, but start with a magnamhut guarantees you can play into them provided you can summon both bystials. I had solid instances where m7 and evolzar won me games. I have yet to find a game where wollow was decent.
