Notes & Combos

This is the deck list that I settled on after grinding the 1st Stage of the DC Cup. Refer to my initial list for a breakdown of the basics of Generaider Runick. As I was still learning the deck, there were a couple of differences from the earlier list that made Masters.

First, I added in more non-engine. Max copies of Imperm and one Nibiru. I found that many people will take the Maxx-C challenge once they found that I playing Runicks. I have lost some games with 15+ cards in my hand because none of the cards drawn did anything. Nibiru especially punishes pushes such for game.

Then, I cut one Diviner as I found that it was clogging my hands. Although Diviner was a better Normal Summon than Loptr in a vacuum, Loptr is valuable as name to pair with Vala. It also leaves a level 9 body for extra deck plays if the opponent has Imperm/Veiler. If you really want Ib access, Ash can act as your tuner in a pinch. Cough Hugin Cough. Ib is good, but not that good.

Another reason I cut Diviner is that while it can access Trias, it not the best Monstrosity target as Trias shares types and attributes with several Generaiders. Since I choose not to run another brick, Monstrosity loses a lot of power if you draw either Hela or Harr.

There is a slightly bigger deck count to not draw the many many bricks. Golden Droplet is bad, but shows up because of some negligible synergy with the Boss Stage. Still a free Instant Fusion, so why not.

Konami please grant us a non-Fairy and non-Light Generaider monster that is actually good (not Nidhogg). Also, give us back some Runick spells. I can be trusted.
