Notes & Combos
This is probably the most consistent form a ninja deck can take. The combination of 2 OG Notebooks and the Shield Bearer tech to search and special summon a Baku, along with the large number of Ninja names, makes this archetype far less likely to completely brick on turn 1 like a standard Ninja list would. Should you still find yourself bricked, you have the option to search the 1of Alchemy to draw 2, destroying the OG Notebook after searching for the Alchemy. Not bricking seems to be more important than running viable non-engine cards in practise as the in-engine effects legitimately have the ability to shut down most decks in this meta when used correctly. 2 Kurikara and Nib are more impactful in this meta than running 3 Ash Blossoms and we play well enough into Maxx C that it isn't as necessary.

I have a list of replays on my profile from my climb in the DC and I'll be adding more as I climb to Masters this season. Feel free to follow for future Ninja content.

Backrow-heavy decks like Lab are a bad matchup, but victory is plausible. For Lab, as an example, the name of the game is out-resourcing them with the help of Hidden Village. If you prioritize destroying/banishing their field spell (Big Welcome after) and chain-blocking the ladies to prevent them from setting more traps, you are in position to pressure them to either have no facedown's (making lady targetable), or deter them from activating more. If you threaten to get a direct attack off with even just Meizen every turn, you put them on a timer or force them to use up their big welcomes in the grave and increase your odds of victory. That being said, if they open the right cards, they'll overwhelm you before you can set up and make the game near impossible to win.
