Notes & Combos

Pretty much a Ryzeal on budget. Most of the things on the ratios or the handtraps are simply because that's all the card that I have.

The Toys are pretty solid. They enable Ice & Node costs of sending to GY without going minus, which practically give additional 4 bodies/2 Xyz. They're also searchable with Tachyon. To top it off, Soldier can also search LIGHT Ryzeals.

Hand bricks quite a lot, although the Toys have a pretty weird dynamics. For the Toy Box effect, you can only choose either setting or destroying cards, but it's also soft OPT. So having 1 Box with full handtraps is a brick, but having 2 is full combo. You set 2 Toys from deck using 1 Box, then destroy the set Toys using the other Box, which will summon themselves from GY, which will search a Ryzeal name. And until the searching part, it can't be Ash'd or Imperm'd.

The additional bodies are nice in theory, but there isn't really a lot of Xyz options to go into. A lot of quick effects on Rank 4s are targetting destruction (like Drident, Ragnazero, or Tornado), which might have utilities since they're more proactive than Detonator, but it feels redundant, so I don't really want to waste my UR dusts to craft them. Another option to utilize the additional bodies is probably handlooping with Ouroboros. Never tried it, not really interested either, so... yeah. So, on full combo, I usually end with 3 mats Detonator, 2 mats Duo Drive, Starliege, and Mikailis.

The Exosisters are... fine. I add them simply because I already have the deck, and they're doing okayish I suppose. The tech is simple, you summon Mikailis using 2 mats > detach to search Arment > use Arment to Xyz another Sister on opp's turn.

  • Asophiel is pretty much Dweller at home. She floodgates effects from activating in GY, but for both player. So your Aggregator will not work either.
  • Gibrine gives you an on-field monster negate, which is nice because Ryzeal doesn't have a lot of negate.
  • Kaspitell floodgates summoning from GY, which, as far as my games go, doesn't have a lot of utilities. It's often better to just go for Gibrine or Asophiel.
  • On rare cases where you draw Arment, you can summon Kaspitell and use Arment to summon Mikailis, which gives you a targetting card banish.

Other than that, Asophiel and Gibrine give additional utilities on your own turn, which is also why I frequently see these 2 in other Ryzeal deck. Asophiel can bounce 1 monster while Gibrine can push for lethal.
