Notes & Combos
Mementos are very funny.
The decklist I used did not include the full FS package, as I felt it was a little clunky and just took up more deck space. Despite there being a 1 card engraver combo, the deck just has so many starters it didn't feel necessary. (Also banishing two engravers feels bad)
I did have breakout and Dark Blade at 3, but I wanted to push the deck more to 40 cards and keep the handtraps plentiful enough for going second. Dark Blade also isn't the best normal summon, so it's not the worst thing in the world.
I was half and half deciding between veiler and imperm, because any monster + breakout = full combo. But I decided to go with imperm to not trigger talents if I could.
Extra deck is very comfortable with the omni negate from desirae. Without it, I'd just feel naked to blowout cards like duster/droplet/evenly. And with the number of interruptions you get just from the deck alone, it's not a problem at all.
The endboard usually ends on desirae, 2 mat apo, with the usual memento interruptions. So like 11-12 interrupts.
And with the dynamic nature of this deck, you can get face up card pops by keeping horned dragon on field; pre-main phase fusion with berfomet summon a banished shleepy after S:P'ing it on your turn; and akihiron being akihiron.
The variation in combo is really cool about this deck as well, not to mention being able to dodge interruptions with all the quickplays.
All in all, it's one of the few meta decks I enjoy, since it takes some real skill to pilot with good reward for doing so. Not like some braindead decks: *cough cough: SE FS, BE, Tenpai, etc. *.
