Notes & Combos

Went from M4 to M1 with this Metalmorph/Fiendsmith/Bystial deck! (I started climbing with this build after the April update)

After losing coinflips multiple times in a row, I decided to build this deck with the intention of it having a decent chance when going 2nd.

Notes/Pointers to anyone who wants to try out this deck

While I mentioned that I made this deck to have a decent chance going 2nd, this deck still prefers to go 1st if possible. If you do win the coinflip, I recommend going 1st!

Black Metal Dragon - Key card for the Metalmorph part of the deck. Using this card, summon Spirit with Eyes of Blue, and arrange BMD's effect as chain 1, and Spirit's effect as chain 2. When you are going 1st, this helps to make sure that your opponent has no way to block you searching for Red-Eyes cards. Most players will also assume that we are using a Blue-Eyes Deck, and may waste their ash/imperm/veiler on Spirit.

Metal Illusionist - A good card, but in a situation where you open BMD and this card, BMD is normally prioritised. If the opponent chooses to shotgun Maxx "C", having this card helps to make the next turn less painful. (When using Max Metalmorph, make sure to use Illusionist's type-changing effect!)

Incoming Machine - Great search card for the Metalmorph cards, and the search effect is NOT once per turn. The secondary effect is actually useful against Bagooska.

Fiendsmith Package - I believe everyone by now knows how it is played, now with Necroquip Princess it allows you to go for a Rank 6 or Link 2 play. (Necroquip Princess is not a light Fiend - I made the mistake once)

Bystial Package - I have tested Bystials multiple times with different ratios; For this deck, I personally like having only 1 copy of each to prevent instances of duplicates.
