Notes & Combos
- This season there's a lot of tenpai so you shouldn't run too many veilers or bystials. Running just the two good ones is enough
- Rabbit+Anguish is goat. Destroying is inferior to negate but 3 pops is very strong. We saw it with ryzeal in paper format or with sefk before. When you go first and face a backrow deck like lab, morb, ... this card will come in handy as your Guardian Chimera. People usually don't negate your monster trap so it usually goes through. There are many alternatives for anguish
- Azurune: Summon negate. Probably the most popular option. it can work independently without continuous trap like anguish.
- Apophis: Negate up to 2 faceup cards but need to have other continuous traps
- Silhouhatte trick: same effect as Apophis but the different is that you need Illusion monsters instead. If you can't setup Continuous Traps then Trick will outperform Apophis because Apophis needs continuous traps while Trick is an Illusion monster itself.
- One key thing to remember is that the continuous trap monsters said they are still considered as trap. Which means you can't dodge hfd/ls/heavy storm because they destroy all spell/trap on the field, not just in s/t zones.
- The combo is just like usual but you search wakeup at the appropriate step. Then ss Gargoyle/bystials and make rabbit. Then use wakeup to send phalanx to revive Auxi.
- Sometimes you might go ip instead of rabbit. You have to evaluate whether 2 pops is better than 2 banish or not. This depends on each matchup
