Notes & Combos
Wanted to see how well Ritual Beasts would fare after the hits and my conclusion: still pretty good! Went 16-4 in my last 20 games before reaching Master I. Majority of them I went first or were against Freenpai. It does feels slightly worse to go 2nd without PoP and another Shifter.
For card choices, most cuttable cards for me are Zefra and 1 inheritance for more non-engine like TTT or Ogre. I wouldn't touch anything in the Extra Deck. Cross Sheep is an extender that gives us access to an early Ulti-Gaiapelio line which is better than the usual anti-Nib combo with Apollo. Bagooska is a great backup for when we get roached. And the rest are just mandatory for our combos.
Few tips in piloting this deck.
- Save your Called By for Maxx C / Droll unless you can't extend otherwise. These two handtraps will severely cripple your combos.
- Similarly, save your SBTL and ETELE for extension if you can.
- Take advantage of Winda's effect to cheat out your Extra Deck monsters. Remember, Ulti-Rei has the innate effect of disabling effects that tribute for cost. This can be especially clutch against the red Sprights and Yubel.
- It is relatively easy to bring out Ulti-Gaia on your 2nd turn. Sometimes it's able to checkmate your opponent after they spent their hand already.
- You can summon two SBTLs at the same time using Ulti-Cannahawk. Try to maximize this whenever you're able to.
- Do not just mindlessly bring out Protos if you're going blind first. He is essentially useless if you call the wrong attribute.
- Practice. Your. Combos. The Timer. Is. Your. Enemy.

Not many interesting games unfortunately. I'll add more if I decide to do rating duels with RB.
