Notes & Combos
Originally I speedran all the way up to M2 on a 40-card list, with a lower brick count and only 10 HTs. Then I went 2-14 on the next coin tosses and started tumbling down, so I switched to this comfort 50-card version instead. Ended up hitting a ~90% WR going first, ~45% going second.
Small World is really the glue of this build, adding much needed consistency by connecting your non-engine choices into flexible engine pushes. In already-playable hands, I usually opened with Small World to feel out the opponent's toggles and bait out Ash (which happened suprisingly a lot) — I would then search a defensive card if I was fearing Maxx C. Even with Small World though, you will still brick occasionally, which definitely cost me ~5-6 games during the climb.
Wanted to try Gameciel as a catch-all bridge + solid going second card, but this slot could easily be Pankratops as well. I flip-flopped on exact hand trap ratios a bit, often trading the Imperms out for more Fuwalos or Nibiru. While Imperm feels meh in a lot of matchups, more outs to Apollousa + Caesar and friends are very much appreciated.
As for the Extra Deck, everything came up multiple times, including the White Aura fish for Coel lines. I'd say the flex spot for me is Trishula, which could be replaced with utility options like Zealantis or Kragen.

Three replays here showing how to play under hand traps (Maxx C + Droll) and breaking boards going second. Important note that these games showcase the original 40-card list and not this posted one.
- vs. Niciboy on Blue-Eyes: Example of trading a few C draws for Rhine + Poseidra set-up.
- vs. Minhimum on Snake-Eyes: Example of free-styling under Droll and cracking back turn 3.
- vs. Asian player on Branded: Example of boardbreaking and playing out long-games.
