Notes & Combos
This month I decided to use Unchained to climbed up to Master 1 since I've recently been playing it in the TCG. This list was netdecked from MDM. To be honest, I'm a little unsure about this deck. It has excellent board breaking capabilities but if Maxx "C" or Fuwalos resolve on your turn you're pretty much passing every time.
I feel like you have to play as much anti Maxx "C" and Fuwalos as possible so that's why I'm maxed out on Ash, Droll, Called By and Crossout. This deck can actually play around Droll pretty well by dumping Sharvara before making Yama and then using Yama to add back the Sharvara you dumped.
My standard 1 card combo with any light fiend ends on Caesar with Sharvara under it + Sharvara in hand + Chamber set with Soul of Rage in the GY. You do Fiendsmith combo until you get to Sequence, then you summon Aerial Eater and dump Sharvara to set Chamber. Then you make Yama with Sequence and Aerial Eater to search Aruha and from there you can pretty much do anything in the Deck.
For the Tour Guide 1 card combo you end up in the same board state by summoning Fiendish Rhino Warrior from Deck, summoning Yama and searching Aruha with Yama and dumping Sharvara with Rhino, then setting Chamber. However, since you didn't go through your fiendsmith line, your endboard is the equivalent of the Unchained 2 card combo, Caesar + Soul of Rage + Desirae.
The toughest pill to swallow I think are the bricks, you have to play 1 Sarama and 1 Shyama, and they're not that good to draw, especially Shyama. However in a pinch you could use Shyama in your hand to make Necroquip Princess with a Monster equipped with a Monster Card on the field and get it in GY. The biggest brick however is Abominable Unchained Soul, but I do think he's really good. Raises the ceiling of your one card combo and going second he can actually be ok since he can summon himself and then pop a card on the field without targetting. Only card I'm not sold on is Muckracker.
Do remember that in this Deck the Battle Phase is a useful resource. There's been situations where I'm out of gas but I can beat my Sarama into my opponent's monster to summon Abominable to break the board or Sharvara to extend in Main Phase 2.
With that all being said, I enjoyed my time with the Deck and will keep playing it next Season and keep testing it.
