Theory

The Infernoble deck is known for putting up a strong end board going first, but it can struggle going second. One way to address this is to run a large number of non-engine cards (hand traps and board breakers), but that often makes your hands very bricky, since the deck isn’t known for one-card starters and already runs several sub-optimal cards you don’t want to draw.

The other solution is to add engines that can break boards while also generating advantage, giving you plays going first and second.

Engines

Mikanko

Ha-Re is searchable through Durendal, Ohime, Arabesque, and can be sent to the GY with Ogier. If you want access to Ha-Re, you’ll consistently have it. Isolde will always sent mayowashidori by cost to revive mikankos from the gy at any point.

Arabesque by itself is a board breaker that summons Ha-Re to continue comboing, or Hu-Li to search Spiritwalk and create a massive board presence. Double Ha-Re equipped with Gearblade is how you will close most games going second, even under the S:P restriction.

Millennium

This engine mainly exists to make Photon Lord, and Doomed Dragon’s effect is one of the best ways to remove monsters, as most decks cannot easily recover monsters placed in the S/T zone.

The engine is highly searchable using Grief Tablet, Bradamante, and Isolde/Renaud. Golem being a Level 6 also works well with Oliver to make an early Baronne if your hand allows it.

Sky-Striker

This engine isn’t searchable (you can run Camellia, but it didn’t come up often in my testing), but drawing Engage or Drones is extremely strong.

Drones provides two Level 4 Warriors and a non-targeting destruction effect. This allows you to make Dempsey to search any FIRE Warrior, or go straight into Isolde without using your Normal Summon.

Getting Engage online to draw is also very doable, since most of your Spell Cards are used to search early in your turn before you commit monsters to the board.
