From what i faced, the Tier 1 meta is formed by Orcust, Mitsurugi variants and Maliss. I've played a blind second before, but it is miserable into Maliss, and also coinflippy into Orcust, since you need at least 2 breakers minimum to even try to play.
Going 1st with some handtraps allow us to simplify the boardstate, which is easier in my opinion
