Notes & Combos

Cutting Star is correct IMO, as Plasma/Plugin are not worth running. You could make and argument for a 'Droll situation' but realistically the outcome of that duel has already been decided. The deck now runs the extra bricks from Mitsurugi so I aimed for a high impact hand quality.

2 Drolls just to avoid a situation where I cannot cross it out.

1 Dugares on 1st turn for draw, the other for lethal. I don't have many URs from the rank 4 toolbox but this worked for me.

Otherwise it's a generic list, I'm uploading it just to vent online for a bit about the game. Grinding MD with Maliss around is truly a hobby for masochists who enjoy inflicting this flagellation upon themselves. I've been full combo'd by normal summon Droll more than once. That deck is not okay.

But to be critical, here I am also playing a top meta deck. I truly sympathize with those who still have the will to queue rogue on master ladder.

My current read on the ladder meta is Maliss > FS Orcust > Ryzeal mitsu. Malis and Orcust are immune to handtraps and can self-droll while also having good recursion. Ryzeal has Ext and Exciton to push through boards, but realistically you're not breaking any of these boards when going 2nd, except for Ryzeal mirrors.

I went on a demonic spree and finished the M1 climb after 14(!) lost coin-tosses in a row, that's like.. 1 in 15k? And it wasn't just unique to this session, the whole season has been unfortunate including pack pulls. I'm up to take a hint from the universe and in turn, put the game down for a bit.

This is also why I was on 6 Charmies and formerly 3 Evenly, the problem with Evenly is that it only really outs the Ryzeal board, albeit beautifully so; vs. the other decks it does nothing and they just out-grind you in the following turns. While I played out most games I advise to just accept the maxx c minigame and move on with your life after the initial handtrap exchange. A lot of people do just that and then actually end up being rusty and making misplays in the later stages of the match or proto Yu-Gi-Oh(multiplayer), which is how I got my wins. The worth of those wins is questionable when I now consider the time and sanity with which I paid for them.

Anyway, Mitsu is cool and a lot of plays can be made with the package. It also allowed me to progress the Lv8 proficiency exam, now I'll just wait a few years for a pendulum engine to finish it.

In the meantime, I'll be the occasional Horus-Mitsu stun terrorist in rated.
