Notes & Combos

So I got to Master with a SHS Snake FTK deck...guess it was inevitable after toying with the idea for months in Master rank, but I now know that this deck is giga based.

The main advantage that this FTK has over the regular SHS Snake deck is obvious: you win on the first turn without needing to interact with the opponent's engine (unless you get hit with a lucky Havnis).

Against Tenpai w/ boardbreakers this is pretty lethal as they give you the opportunity to FTK them on a silver platter.

Another advantage is the lack of bricks besides the ones you're already running for your engine, and it's for a FTK. This means your going second ability is almost the same as regular SHS Snake or even other Snake-Eyes variants in terms of handtrap counts.

Lastly, the FTK has several backup plans for going first or second. If you don't open with SHS starters (which are FTK starters) then you can at least do a pure Snake-Eye board which is decent against most decks. For going second, you have the Zealantis OTK like any other Snake-Eye variant.

So, you sacrifice very little in exchange for a lethal FTK that is resilient to most handtraps. Quite a scary deck, if I must say.

Post-Banlist it is a bit worse thanks to Gamma being limited which brings its own set of problems. Draw Phase Maxx C is very annoying for this deck, even if we out it due to the SHS cards' restrictions. Regardless, its consistency and versaility is very scary and a potential pick for the Tenpai format despite the nerf.
