Notes & Combos
This is my personal way of playing Madolche - combo-oriented approach that mixes different engines to create unique lines. While it’s not fully competitive, it has strong combo potential and can build solid boards if uninterrupted.
The Superheavy Samurai engine serves multiple purposes:
- it baits opponent’s hand traps,
- naturally transitions into a Madolche combo,
- ends on a strong end board if uninterrupted,
- offers an easy way to make Bagooska if you get hit by Maxx C/Mulcharmy 🙃
Vernusylph cards complement the strategy well:
- they search Madolche starters (mainly Anjelly),
- act as extenders for SHS plays (turning off Wakaushi's returning to Pendulum Scale and Accel/Baronne plays)
There are a lot of different lines depending on your opening hand. The plays get more complex if you're locked into EARTH monsters (due to Vernusylph effects), or if half of the SHS engine becomes unusable because of your Spell/Trap in the GY
Main Weaknesses:
- deck is bricky
- it's vulnerable to Maxx, Mulcharmy, Droll...
- EARTH locks, Madolche locks, Shs vs spell/trap in GY (luckily, Madolche can shuffle it back)
