Notes & Combos

Heavily inspired by Trif's YCS Peru list.

Did you also see Trif's list and want to try it? But we don't have the necessary cards in MD? Worry not! Although Yummy is not yet released (neither are Miracle Raven & Angry Burger), we have another Level 1 archetype - Snake-Eye. And through the magic of MD we still can play FS Snake-Eye in most of its glory - now with even more ways to bridge into it! Saddle up for actual reptiles in our Snake-Eye deck!

The Changes from Trif's List:

• Yummy -> Fiendsmith & Snake-Eye (you can try Orcust instead of SE)
• Sky Striker -> Millenium (probably cutable)
• Nouvelles -> Impcantation

General Gameplan:

• Going first: Set up Snake-Eye FS board with the addition of Murakumo and Prayers. Often done by using Zombie Vampire to find Snake-Eye access.
• Going second: Mitsurugi, Millenium, and Fiendsmith are all insane at breaking boards, so often engine alone can push into them. With the help of the Tactics' and Droplet this breaking power only increases.

Card Choices:

• Black Goat Laughs is a good thrust target going first and a good discard to break boards going second.
• Dharc and Selene can bridge with Souls into Diabellstar and with that Snake-Eye.
• Souls also can use many of the monsters have left in the s/t zones, the fieldspells, black goat laughs, ritual spells you get back from GY with prep and boardbreakers you drew going first to draw 2
• Chalislime gets you to Habakiri off of prep. Talismandra can be sent with Habakiri / Ash / Diabellstar / OSS / Droplet to get rid of the ED lock.
• Why no Flame Banshee? I would definitely consider it, but then you need to play more Mitsu engine (and Sword Serpent) and you would probably have to cut Selene so less synergy with Souls.
• Birch makes some lines better, e.g. if you draw Poplar, but it also adds a really bad draw so I decided to cut it.

The Droll Problem:

• Try to make your first search count, for example don't start with prep but instead try to get into Snake-Eye combo since it is much more resiliant to Droll
• Play in a way that under Droll you still can access Fiendsmith at any time
• These points apply especially going first. Going second, often you cannot afford to be so cautious, so you just have to pray they don't have it

The Maxx "C" Problem:

• You can't win them all...
• Maybe Murakumo + Prayers and Black Goat will be enough...
