Notes & Combos
This is the perfect time to be playing this deck. It's not just a deck, it's a walking memory!
Gladiator Beasts was the first archetype I ever played 14 years ago. I still remember finding the cards in a pile of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards at my friend's house. I took a 10-year break, and it turns out they got some pretty good support! Playing Gladiator Beasts is just so much fun. At this event, there's no deck you can't beat, as long as you get to go first. LOL
Sky Striker? Not a tough matchup at all. Even when I go second, Sky Striker is the easiest deck to beat here.
There are a few things you could change in the deck.
-
You could swap out Gladiator Beast's War Chariot for Infinite Impermanence. I've only got two copies myself because of card limitations.
-
If you have I:P Masquerena, it's better to put her in your side deck.
-
Decode Talker isn't very useful.
-
If you have three copies of Effect Veiler, that's even better.
-
I also added Gladiator Beast's Retiari to banish Jurrac cards.
With Maxx "C" and Called by the Grave banned, the only real threat to Gladiator Beasts is Droll & Lock Bird!
