Notes & Combos
Since the Spright engine is banned in this event, the best alternative is to focus on draw power for consistency, as this deck is prone to bricking. Recommended options include 3x Magical Mallet, 2x Reload, and 1x Pot of Extravagance.
To handle opposing boards, the deck runs a strong lineup of removal spells: 3x Dark Hole, 2x Raigeki, 1x Harpie’s Feather Duster, and 1x Heavy Storm. These are supported by staple hand traps and negates such as 3x Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring and 3x Infinite Impermanence.
In the Extra Deck, nearly all cards serve as fodder for Pot of Extravagance. The only truly essential card is Salamangreat Almiraj, which plays a key role in the core combo. It allows Dark Beckoning Beast to be linked off into the Graveyard, enabling Opening of the Spirit Gates to discard Dark Summoning Beast from the hand. This sets up its immediate Special Summon, which can then be tributed to bring out one of the three Sacred Beasts. Afterward, Dark Summoning Beast can be banished from the Graveyard to add another Sacred Beast card directly from the deck to the hand.
