Notes & Combos
Shoutout to the introduction guide on here for an overview for the deck. This was my first time playing Mimighoul and it was pretty fun. I kept changing the deck as I went. I think there's a good amount of little changes you can make based on what you feel like.
Here some thoughts on card choices:
- At first I tried a bigger Kash-engine with Unicorn, Field Spell, and Birth. After opening Birth one too many times I cut all of those, but later I thought Fenrir on its own could still be good.
- For Handtraps I also tried Mulcharmys, D.D. Crow (useful against Mermail Atlantean), Shifter, Bystials, Nib. I stayed with Imperm + Purge, because those at least dodge Called By while still interacting with the most decks. If I had more room I'd run more Ghost Ogre, as Blue-Eyes was still pretty popular. It can also stop the Millenium Package combo piles run. Ash is also important, since denying enemy Charmy/Maxx C is important for most plays.
- Thrust and Talents are great, since you can self-enable them. I wasn't sure why the sample list was using 3 Thrust 2 Talent. Thrust is more versatile and can also set up Traps, but I liked the fact that Talent was also live after the Mimighoul switches sides on the opponent's field. I was playing an opposite ratio for most time, but now cut down to 4 total to make room for Fenrir.
- I faced quite a few Kashtira decks, which is why I wanted to add a second Zeus, so they can't instantly Unicorn it. Ideally I would also play the Lyrilusc Rank 1 on top of Fucho, but not sure what would get cut. I like the Charmers for general utitity, and I'm almost sad I can't run Dharc as well. Against a Crystron player I stole their CyDra Infinity once, lol. Knightmare Gryphon from the sample deck never came up for me. IP and Accesscode also don't come up often. And with Purge in the list, they are most cutable I guess.
- I think Mimighoul Charm is way too funny. Is it win more? Totally. But even if I just grab an Apollouse with 0 ATK out of their Extra Deck something about that just tickles me to no end. I haven't tried Cerberus or Knight. The ratios on everything else feel solid. I tried to look out for the times playing a Knight would've been useful, but it came up maybe once in 30 games
I hope you'll also have fun playing Mimighoul!
BTW: I faced like 3 opponents that had Dominus Impulse in their starting hand (Mostly Lab and Spright seem to run it). That card basically instawins the matchup, but not much we can do about that, lmao.

My 4 Most recent replays are Mimighoul. 2 games against Fiendsmith piles, 1 Kashtira, and 1 Crystron.
All of them are wins, but I tried to find close games where it went deeper than "I did combo turn 1, they scooped", even if misplays happen on both sides here and there. Enjoy!
