Notes & Combos
🔥Volcanic Snake-Eyes 🔥
55ish games from Dv 11 -> 20. Approx 50% go-first/second. I'm happy with the card ratios. I wouldn't change them, the deck plays smoothly. Nib can be cut or replaced (droll/ogre) though.
Banlist: Limits on Bonfire and OSS hurt the deck a notable amount.
The Bonfire limit is about -10% FTK odds and -10% extension potential. Small World can replace its utility but is directly tied to monster-to-spell/trap ratios; which is meta dependent. You aren't running 6 monster handtraps if the meta isn't made for them. Veiler and Droll are whatever, they suffice.
No 2nd OSS means worse turn 3 potential and makes popping the Diabellstar's set a no-brainer. Minorly affects go-first potential. Pure Snake-Eyes will hate this hit a lot more.
With Bonfire, Poplar, WANTED, and OSS limited we keep getting UR re-payments. So I can't but wonder if banning OSS couldn't have been more profitable for them. Diabell would still see play in White Woods, who, in such a world, wouldn't have as much competition. Either way, I don't expect further hits to Snake-Eyes anymore heading into Ryzeal/mAlice meta so this Volcanic list is final until then.
Cerberus and Donner to me are still equal in value. Cerberus can be used going-second, and be enough to win. Donner lets you do Donner + S:P (arrow requirement) and remain behind a Bomb Token longer, which is better if playing into Maxx "C".
Azamine is also valid, but I wanted to make sure how good Small World is with these limitations. Wouldn't run both. I can't make good judgement how much the extra deck loses utility for having to drop Parallel eXceed package or Dharc/Borg.
